This work, titled Under the Sun forms a diptych with Over the Moon and the pair are intended to be mounted on the wall. Both works were created during the uncertain time of the Covid 19 pandemic and are the result of my need for an “escape route.” They also reflect my life-long fascination with NASA, Hubble, outer space and science fiction. Created in the form of an inverted saucer, the sculpture is intended to be hung on a wall.
I was honored to be contacted by the vocal group Libana (based in Boston) to share a photograph of Under the Sun for use as the cover image for their digitally-released 2024 song, Gaia.
